Values-based leadership stewards program

Imagine, what our world would look like if we lived into our core values on behalf of the common good?

PictureSeven Practices of Leadership for the Common Good
We define ethical leadership as knowing your core values and having the courage to live them in all parts of your life in service of the common good.

Program Description

The Values-Based Leadership Stewards Program take participants on a deep and transforming two-part journey, the internal work of personal growth and development and the external work of social action.

The seven practices of leadership for the common good expands from our 4-V Model, a model of ethical leadership development that is grounded in theories of moral development, human development, leadership development, and community development.

This community of practice consists of an intimate sized cohort that meets monthly (ten sessions) for an hour and a half. Each month, is a practice of a topic, Sharing the Rock, authored by CEL's Founder, Dr. Bill Grace is one of the resources used.

Testimonials

"As a member of the first 2021 cohort of CEL's Stewards program, a program designed to ignite wide-spread adoption of values-based leadership principles, I'm pleased to share that my experience thus far has been extremely rewarding, both personally and professionally. The Stewards program takes participants on a two-part journey - the inner work of personal integrity, and the outer work of social transformation for the sake of the common good. Although we're just halfway through the program, I can report the following benefits:
  • A more conscious awareness of my core values, and practical tools for keeping them at the forefront when dealing with day-to-day leadership challenges;
  • A community of peers who provide support and accountability with respect to cementing those values and maintaining a focus on the common good;
  • Progress toward realizing the promise of boldness with respect to actualizing those values no matter the complexity of the leadership issues at hand.
I highly recommend CEL's Stewards program to anyone who agrees that pursuit of the common good is a worthwhile leadership endeavor, and who is also motivated to actively engage toward that end." -- Joe H
