Our Approach

CEL's approach draws from research in moral, human, community, and leadership development. We guide leaders with proven practices for them to reflect from within, relate to stakeholders, restore and strengthen relationships, and reimagine the leadership style they need to advance their part of the common good. An overview of our practices include:
When all of the practices come together, stewards are able to lead people by building, restoring, and strengthening relationships. They develop healthy cultures worth being in by having clarity of purpose and vision – this leads to sustainable outcomes!
- Values-based Leadership Stewards Cohort – a reflective journey that calls on the seven practices of leadership for the common good.
- Collective Leadership: a way for diverse groups of people in our communities to hold purpose, direction, and action cooperatively. Collective leadership requires us to expand our notion of leadership from the solo perspective of “I” to include the powerful “We”- keeping both the “I” and the “We” as equal partners. Examples: Community Learning Exchange, Confluence, Gracious Space
- Network leadership: based on deep relationships, networks offer surprising and creative answers when people take ownership of issues and offer their gifts for the greater good. Examples: Gracious Space, Peacemaking Circle
When all of the practices come together, stewards are able to lead people by building, restoring, and strengthening relationships. They develop healthy cultures worth being in by having clarity of purpose and vision – this leads to sustainable outcomes!
